PROSPECTS OF ARMENIA INTEGRATION INTO EUROPE DISCUSSED IN YEREVAN

The process of Armenia’s integration in European structures was discussed today by deputy foreign minister of Armenia Ruben Shugarian and Belgian ambassador to Armenia Andre Mernier (residence in Moscow), who had arrived in Yerevan to participate in the preparation seminar of the OSCE 12-th Economic Forum. The interlocutors addressed the realistic policy pursued to that end by Armenia, which allows to effectively cooperate within the framework of various European programs. Within that context the importance of the visit of Armenian president Robert Kocharian to the EU capital of Brussels was emphasized. The parties also considered issues of cooperation of the two countries within international organizations, specifically the UN.
