First class pilot major Constantine Kardash was killed in a crash of MiG-29 Russian pursuit plane in Armenia yesterday. Today at 11:40 a.m. local time the search group discovered the body of the pilot, reported press secretary of the defense ministry of Armenia colonel Seyran Shahsuvarian. According to preliminary data, the catapult functioned when the plane stroke the ground. This happened near Jajur village in the northwest of the republic, not far from Gumri city.
