Russian defense minister Sergey Ivanov is arriving in Armenia today. In the course of the 3-day visit he is to hold meetings with the political leadership of Armenia as well as his Armenian associate Serge Sargsian, with whom he will sign a program of cooperation for 2004 between the defense departments of the two countries. As reported by Russian sources, the issues regarding the activity of the dislocated in Armenia 102-th Russian military base as well as those regarding the study of Armenian soldiers in the Russian military higher education institutions will be also discussed during the meetings.
