WATER PIPE BREAKAGE: NUMBER OF INFECTED PEOPLE REACHED 156

According to this morning’s data the number of the people infected in the result of the breakage of the water pipe in the Arabkir district of Yerevan reached 156, head physician of the Nork isolation hospital Ara Asoyan told Arminfo agency. In his words, yesterday 24 ill people came to the hospital while today morning only 3 were brought, their condition being not serious. Ara Asoyan emphasized that it is not an epidemic, for the infected people are coming only from the Center and Arabkir districts, which are still supplied with the water through the wrecking water pipe. At the same time, the head physician assured that the flow of the ill people decreases day by day, and 30 people have been already discharged from the hospital. Meanwhile as chairman of the State Committee for water resources Gagik Martirosian told journalists today, a criminal case was initiated by the Armenian Office of the Public Prosecutor.
