HRAZDAN THERMOELECTRIC POWER PLANT TO BE PASSED TO “UES OF RUSSIA” TRUST MANAGEMENT FOR TIME BEING

Within the next few days signing of a contract on conveying the Hrazdan thermoelectric power plant (TPP) to trust management of “United Energy Systems (UES) of Russia” company is planned, director general of the International Energy Corporation Mels Hakobian told “Arminfo” agency. In his words, intensive talks over the issue continue. The question is, he commented, that the full passing of the station to the ownership of Russia within the program “property against the state debt” lingers a bit. “For the program not to be in the air, at the initial stage it is decided to pass the Hrazdan thermoelectric power plant to the trust management,” M. Hakobian said, adding that at present the most important task is to prepare the station to the winter. It should be reminded that 20% of the total volume of electric power being generated in Armenia falls on the Hrazdan thermoelectric power plant.
