The Armenian parliament will discuss issue of ratification of the Armenian-Greek memorandum on participation of Armenian military in the international peacekeeping operation in Kosovo as part of a Greek peacekeeping battalion. In the words of deputy defense minister of Armenia Artur Aghabekian, at present the document is submitted for consideration by the parliamentary commission for defense and national security issues. It should be noted that according to the memorandum signed in Yerevan in September, a platoon of 34 Armenian servicemen is supposed to be sent to Kosovo with a peacekeeping mission next January.
