NAGORNO KARABAKH NOT GOING TO “ARMENIZE” SHUSHI MUSLIM MOSQUES

According to head of NKR monuments guarding Slava Sargsian, the accuses of armenization of the ancient Muslim monuments addressed to the Karabakh party as well as the protest of State committee for Azerbaijan’s religious structures regarding the intention to convert the Shushi mosque into an Armenian museum, are groundless and absurd. “No one is going to touch and moreover convert two big Muslim mosques into Armenian museums”, – Slava Sargsian told Regnum agency. In his words, the matter concerns a small and damaged during the Azeri-Karabakh war construction of a Muslim style, located not far from the mosques. Being a construction built relatively not long ago, it is not an ancient monument. After the reconstruction it can be used as an administrative quarters, Sargsian noted.
