CE VENETIAN COMMISSION READY TO ASSIST NAGORNO KARABAKH STATUS DEVELOPMENT

The CE Venetian Commission, on Armenia and Azerbaijan’s invitation, can take part in the working out of the legal status of Nagorno Karabakh. As reported by Arminfo agency, the return of the CE Ago group devoted to the outcomes of visiting Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan in July 2003 runs. At the same time the delegation noted lack of progress in Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement emphasizing completely opposite approaches taken to this issue by Armenia and Azerbaijan. Commenting on the accuses of the Azeri leadership regarding the fact that constantly discussing the issue of political convicts the CE is not interested in Azeri refugees’ rights, Ago group underscored that they only can appeal to the OSCE Minsk group to stir up its activity for Karabakh conflict settlement.
