The new Georgian leadership has introduced reduced tariffs for transit of Armenian cargo via its territory, Armenian minister of transport and communication Andranik Manukian told journalists. In his words, at present a 24% sale for oil product transit and 17% sale for other cargo is introduced. It should be noted that earlier Mikhail Saakashvili said in an interview with the Public TV Company of Armenia that Georgia intended to reconsider its transit tariffs for Armenia to increase the commodity turnover between the two countries.
