BUDAPEST POLICE CONSIDERING POLITICAL MOTIVE AMONG VERSIONS OF MURDER OF ARMENIAN OFFICER BY AZERI SERVICEMAN

The political motive is considered among other versions of murder of officer of the Armed Forces of Armenia Gurgen Margarian by an Azeri serviceman in Budapest. The Associated Press reported it referring to representatives of law-enforcement bodies of the Hungarian capital. In the words of Budapest police Major Valter Fulop, Senior Lieutenant of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan Ramil Safarov hacked the Armenian officer to death with “unusual cruelty.” “We say unusual cruelty because besides a number of knife wounds on his chest, the victim’s head was practically severed from his body,” the policeman explained. As reported by the AP, when being arrested Safarov did not put up resistance. Meanwhile, NATO representatives in Brussels refused from commenting on the murder, noting that the English language courses, attended by the Azeri and Armenian officers at Budapest University of National Defense within Partnership for Peace Program were organized by the Hungarian government.
