There are prospects available between Moscow and Ankara for working out and realization of joint projects connected with the transit of energy from Russia to Turkey through the territory of Georgia as well as the export of the energy, processed at the Armenian power plants, which are to be passed to Russia’s ownership or to its trust administration. This was said by Russian MFA official representative Alexander Yakovenko in his interview to Hurriyet Turkish newspaper dedicated to the formal visit of Turkey’s Vice Premier, foreign minister Abdullah Gul to Moscow. In the words of the Russian diplomat, A. Gul’s visit will contribute to new possibilities for enlarging Russian-Turkish ties in the trade-economic sphere.
