CALLS TO NAME NEWBORN CHILDREN AFTER ARMENIAN OFFICER’S MURDERER IN BUDAPEST HEARD IN BAKU

A committee advocating the rights of Azeri lieutenant Ramil Safarov, who killed an Armenian officer during the NATO training courses in Budapest, was formed in Azerbaijan. As reported by Zerkalo Azeri newspaper, the committee members told journalists yesterday that the norms of jus gentium oblige the world mass media to refrain from declaring Ramil Safarov a criminal, who had committed the homicide. The committee appealed to the Azeri society to render support for the struggle for the rights of R. Safarov, who “got into trouble”. Besides they intend to create pro-Azeri international public opinion being sure of the backing of the state bodies. According to the newspaper, one of the committee members called the compatriots to name their newborn boys after Ramil.
