US REGRETS FOR BUDAPEST HOMICIDE BUT DOES NOT WISH IT TO HINDER NEGOTIATION PROCESS

The US regrets for the murder of Armenian officer Gurgen Magrarian committed in Budapest and condoles with the family of the killed, as reported by Mediamax agency, deputy to the head of the US diplomatic mission in the OSCE Douglas Davidson stated addressing the sitting of the Permanent Council of the organization in Vienna. “Being one of the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group for the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement, the US abides by the peaceful settlement process. Both parties to this conflict have experienced tragic bloodshed and grieve and we call Armenia and Azerbaijan to do their best not to allow this incident to become an obstacle for searching peaceful conflict resolving. The US expects the governments of both countries to keep order in the troops deployed at the contact line so as to prevent possible violence”, Davidson said.
