YEREVAN WILL ONLY WELCOME AZERBAIJAN DESIRE TO PARTICIPATE IN INTEGRATION PROCESSES IN SOUTH CAUCASUS

Armenia will only welcome Azerbaijan’s desire to participate in trilateral economic programs and integration processes in the region, Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian told journalists when speaking of prospects of regional cooperation between Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan. In his words, such an idea was on the agenda of the foreign policy of Armenia, however Azerbaijan was always against such initiatives. “If the Georgian President can persuade Baku into changing that stance, we will only welcome it,” the Armenian Foreign Ministry head emphasized. It should be reminded that in the course of a visit Mikhail Saakashvili paid to Baku lately, he said Georgia was able to form a common economic space with Armenia and Azerbaijan to promote further development of the region.
