Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) rapporteur on Nagorno Karabakh Terry Davis will visit the conflict region no sooner that in October 2003. A source in the Armenian National Assembly informed “Arka” agency, pointing out that the rapporteur’s visit is expected after the presidential election in Azerbaijan to be held this October. To note, as member of the Armenian delegation in PACE Armen Rustamian told earlier, Terry Davis is going to run for PACE Secretary General in view of the fact that Walter Schwimmer’s term at this post will be expired in 2004. In case Terry Davis is elected the PACE Secretary General, the Assembly will appoint a new rapporteur on Nagorno Karabakh.
