Serious rearrangements have been made among the leaders of the Turkish armed forces. As reported by the Turkish sources, new commanders-in-chief of the aircraft and Navy as well as the new head of the council for the national security were appointed. Earlier, in concordance with the claims raised by the European Union, the Turkish parliament voted for the restriction of the military men’s role in the political life of the country. The Turkish mass media also report that 18 officers sympathizing with Islamists were dismissed from the army.
