EU AND EUROPEAN EXPERTS ACKNOWLEDGING WITH KARABAKH CONFLICT CORE

Representatives of the joint mission of the German Marshall Fund of USA and of the Project on Transitional Democracies are visiting Yerevan at present. As reported by the press service of the RA MFA, the aim of the mission realized within the frames of the Project on the Resolution of Europe’s Frozen Conflicts is to study the history of the Karabakh conflict and its consequences, familiarize with the position of the leadership of Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh on this issue and present the core of the conflict to the leading experts in Washington and Brussels. In this view the Mission representatives held meetings with the Armenian President, Foreign Minister and Defense Minister Deputy. The experts are also expected to visit Stepanakert to meet Nagorno Karabakh leadership. On completion of the visit the missioners will submit their conclusions to high rank officials in Washington. To note, earlier the missioners visited Pridnestrovye, Abkhazia and South Osetia.
