Prime minister Ilham Aliyev is the only contender for Azeri president post, who will be able to provide succession in Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement. Armenian foreign minister Vardan Oskanian expressed such an opinion in Yerevan today. I. Aliyev’s advantage is that he is aware of the negotiations on Nagorno Karabakh held by his father Heydar Aliyev, thus being able to provide succession in the settlement process, “what is very important for Armenia”, the minister emphasized. He reminded that in the course of numerous meetings held by Armenian and Azeri presidents, agreements have been achieved on a number of issues discussed.
