The traffic on some Georgian highways including those connecting the Akhalkalaki region of Georgia with Armenia was stopped because of the snowfalls and extremely dangerous situation created. As reported by ITAR-TASS according to the road control department of Georgia, the clearing of highways had been postponed due to the danger of avalanche, as the blanket of snow reaches half a meter there.
