NAGORNO KARABAKH FORCES NEUTRALIZED AZERI DIVERSIONARY UNIT

An Azeri diversionary and reconnaissance unit, which penetrated into the territory controlled by the Karabakh forces, was neutralized at the eastern sector of the Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijani contact line near the inhabited locality of Bash Karvend on February 26 evening. According to the press service of the NKR defense ministry, one Azeri saboteur was killed and several wounded during the skirmish. Retreating the Azeris took the wounded but left the killed one. The sub-units of the NKR defense army did not take any losses. Karabakh leadership brought the incident to the notice of the Stepanakert offices of the OSCE and the International Red Cross Committee (IRCC). The NKR state commission for the issues of war prisoners and hostages is conducting talks with the IRCC for the passing of the body of the killed to the Azeri side.
